Diversification within Stonecrest has provided a great foundation for overall success in the ever-changing real estate and lending market. Stonecrest has five distinct entities complimenting each other to provide expertise and solutions to a variety of investors and borrowers.
Stonecrest Financial, our Mortgage Broker team, has been serving clients for over 20 years by providing traditional mortgages through institutional lending.
Our Private Money division places an individual investor to a property secured by a single deed of trust. By arranging diverse real estate loans, funded by private investment clients, we provide a well secured trust deed investment which generates high yields for our investors.
Stonecrest Properties is our asset management division which buys and sells properties in foreclosure or in probate sales. We either improve and sell or hold and manage these properties providing our other businesses with real estate buying and selling expertise.
Stonecrest Managers is the managing division which oversees the Private Capital Fund, LLC. The Private Capital Fund invests in loans, secured by substantial collateral on California real estate. The Fund has consistently returned a 7-9% average annualized return since its inception. The Fund is committed to providing investors with a high level of monthly income, preserving capital, and enhancing the diversification of an investor's portfolio.
Our newest division is Stonecrest Investments, LLC, which purchases REO (Real Estate Owned) properties throughout the country. We are able to purchase these homes in bulk at discounted prices. Stonecrest Investments, LLC has purchased approximately 1,850 properties since March 2007 for approximately $6.65 million. As of January 2009, it has resold them for approximately $12.5 million.
Jon O. Freeman, Founder and President
As founder, principal owner and President of Stonecrest Financial, Jon Freeman is a visionary who has successfully seeded and grown Stonecrest’s many divisions. He is also an active real estate investor, cultivating a portfolio of significant properties in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1986. Jon earned his BA in Business Administration from the University of San Diego and is a California licensed Real Estate Broker.
Jeffrey B. Morway, Vice President
Jeffrey B. Morway has been in various leadership roles at Stonecrest since 1987, and is currently the Vice President of Stonecrest Financial and an officer of Stonecrest Managers, Inc. His investor and client base has been with him for over 20 years. He also serves on Stonecrest's loan committee. Jeff attended the University of Arizona where he majored in Finance and Business Administration.
Shafiq A. Taymuree, Vice President
Shafiq A. Taymuree is the Vice President of Stonecrest Managers, Inc., where he serves on the loan committee and runs several funds as part of the management team. Shafiq has senior level experience in lending, asset management and underwriting, and has been with Stonecrest since 1998. He attended University of Cal State, Hayward, where he majored in Finance.
John E. Hope, Operations Manager
John Hope joined Stonecrest in 2011 and is responsible for all operation functions for Stonecrest Investments, our bulk REO (real estate owned) division, which includes credit quality, servicing, and all post closing aspects for the residential funds. He has 25 years experience in all areas of real estate ranging from production management, bulk acquisitions, servicing, REO’s, and mortgage banking. A graduate of San Jose State in Business and Economics, John maintains licenses in mortgage origination and real estate.
Lisa Fuller, Director of Finance
Lisa joined Stonecrest in 2009 as our Director of Finance. She is responsible for all financials for the various divisions of Stonecrest and manages the accounting department. She has a BS in Business Administration from Cal State Hayward and is a California Certified Public Accountant. Lisa has been in accounting since 1991.
Chad J. Hansen, Asset Manager
Chad joined Stonecrest Managers in 2009 as an Asset Manager. Prior to joining Stonecrest, Chad spent 8 years in corporate banking and real estate specializing in underwriting and portfolio management. He attended Saint Mary's College of California, where he majored in Finance and Business Administration.
Joan Verduzco, Private Capital Fund Administrator
Joan Verduzco is responsible for investor contracts, accounts and inquiries, financial reporting and system administration. Prior to assuming the role as Fund Administration, she was responsible for financial, administration, accounting and escrow for Stonecrest Financial and Stonecrest Properties. Joan graduated from the University of Denver and loves spending time with her husband, kids and the growing number of grandchildren.
Christina Gray, Investor Relations Manager
Christina Gray is Stonecrest's Investor Relations Manager for the Stonecrest Family of Funds. She has successfully grown a substantial investor base, which continues to expand monthly. Prior to Stonecrest Managers, she was a top sales producer in the telecommunications industry at AT&T and Tricom.
