Stonecrest
Stonecrest Financial has been a leading real estate investment company serving the California market since 1986. The company and its principals have successfully underwritten more than $800 million in residential and commercial mortgages since its inception.
Diversification within Stonecrest has provided a great foundation for overall success in the ever-changing real estate and lending market. Stonecrest has five distinct entities complimenting each other to provide expertise and solutions to a variety of investors and borrowers.
Stonecrest Financial, our Mortgage Broker team, has been serving clients for over 20 years by providing traditional mortgages through institutional lending.
Our Private Money division places an individual investor to a property secured by a single deed of trust. By arranging diverse real estate loans, funded by private investment clients, we provide a well secured trust deed investment which generates high yields for our investors.
Stonecrest Properties is our asset management division which buys and sells properties in foreclosure or in probate sales. We either improve and sell or hold and manage these properties providing our other businesses with real estate buying and selling expertise.
Stonecrest Managers is the managing division which oversees the Private Capital Fund, LLC. The Private Capital Fund invests in loans, secured by substantial collateral on California real estate. The Fund has consistently returned a 7-9% average annualized return since its inception. The Fund is committed to providing investors with a high level of monthly income, preserving capital, and enhancing the diversification of an investor's portfolio.
Our newest division is Stonecrest Investments, LLC, which purchases REO (Real Estate Owned) properties throughout the country. We are able to purchase these homes in bulk at discounted prices. Stonecrest Investments, LLC has purchased approximately 1,850 properties since March 2007 for approximately $6.65 million. As of January 2009, it has resold them for approximately $12.5 million.
The Management
Jon O. Freeman, Founder and President
Jon Freeman is the founder and President of Stonecrest Financial and is an expert on real estate investing and lending. He is the principal owner and CEO of Stonecrest Financial (founded 1986), Stonecrest Properties (founded 1986), Stonecrest Managers, Inc. (founded 2004) and Stonecrest Investments, LLC (founded 2007). He is an active real estate investor purchasing and developing over 100 properties in the San Francisco Bay area over the past two decades. A graduate of University of San Diego in Business Administration, Freeman is also a licensed real estate broker and currently owns and manages a large portfolio. He is a member of the California Association of Mortgage Brokers and National Association of Mortgage Brokers. Outside of the office, Jon enjoys tennis, basketball, outdoor activities and volunteering at his church.
Jeffrey B. Morway, Vice President
Jeff Morway is the Vice President of Stonecrest Financial and an officer of Stonecrest Managers, Inc. He has consistently been the company’s top producer and is responsible for loan officer training/management, and regularly interfaces with investors. Morway attended the University of Arizona where he majored in Finance and Business Administration. He is a member of the California Association of Mortgage Brokers and National Association of Mortgage Brokers. Jeff enjoys golfing and spending time with his family.
Shafiq A. Taymuree, Senior Underwriter
Shafiq Taymuree is responsible for Underwriting and has been a Senior Loan Consultant for Stonecrest Financial since 1998. He also serves on the loan approval committee for Stonecrest Managers, Inc. He has been one of the company’s young talents who excelled in underwriting, loan origination, team development and building relationships with new investors. Taymuree attended the University of Cal State Hayward where he majored in Finance. He is a member of the California Association of Mortgage Brokers and National Association of Mortgage Brokers. Shafiq is an avid golfer, plays drums and loves spending time with his wife and daughters.
Christina Gray, Investor Relations Manager
Christina Gray is responsible for establishing and managing investor relationships for the Private Capital Fund. She has successfully grown her investor base for the fund by 50% month over month. Prior to Stonecrest Managers, she was a top sales producer in the telecommunications industry at ATT and Tricom. She is an active member of the National Charity League and has chaired many fund raising events for St. Francis High School and her church. Gray is a graduate of UC Santa Cruz and loves watching her two teenagers play volleyball and soccer with her husband David.
Regina Wiedemann, Investor Relations Manager
Regina Wiedemann is responsible for establishing new investor relationships for the Private Capital Fund. Prior to joining the Stonecrest Manager Team, Wiedemann spent 20 years in high-tech where she held several executive level sales and marketing positions with startup and established organizations in the telecommunications, internet and software industries including Sprint, SBC and DIRECTV. During her career, she managed organizations of up to 250 people and with revenues up to $100 million. Wiedemann is a graduate of Central WA University Business Administration, is a licensed real estate agent and is a member of California Association of Mortgage Brokers and National Association of Mortgage Brokers.
Joan Verduzco, Private Capital Fund Administrator
Joan Verduzco is responsible for investor contracts, accounts and inquiries, financial reporting and system administration. Prior to assuming the role as Fund Administration, she was responsible for financial, administration, accounting and escrow for Stonecrest Financial and Stonecrest Properties. Joan graduated from the University of Denver and loves spending time with her husband, kids and the growing number of grandchildren.
